These streets weren’t paved with a sense of direction
and the isolation reveals only scabs in reflection
picked off and collected the wounds never heal
and the liquor store lights are all that is real
the north star I chase has a taste like sweat

Chasing down veins like the rats in the walls,
Closing in until only smoke is left to breathe,
